Delmarva Power Pole Replacement
Subject Please be advised that Delmarva Power will be replacing telephone poles along Cooper Street from Front Street to Route 24, as well as along Route 24, beginning Tuesday, January 20, 2026. The project is expected to last several weeks. Once work begins, there will be a lane closure along Cooper Street. Residents are asked not to park any vehicles along Cooper Street while the work is being completed. Delmarva Power (DP&L) will notify residents on a regular basis regarding the specific areas where work will be occurring. After the new poles are installed, new electrical service will be run to individual properties. This work will require temporary power outages during the service hookups. DP&L will notify all residents in advance of any planned power interruptions. Thank you for your cooperation during this important infrastructure improvement.
