The department operates under the command of Police Chief Dan Wright. The department has a force of 18 sworn officers and 1 administrative assistant. Together we strive to provide high quality, professional, community oriented police services to our citizens.

|The Laurel Police Department is currently hiring Non Certified Police Officers. The Laurel Police Department is a progressive community oriented Sussex County agency consisting of 18 sworn officers and one administrative assistant. We take pride in the fact that we service one of the busiest towns in the County and our officers are able to address a variety of complaints. Our Department is a 24 hour a day, 365 days a year department with 12 hour rotating shifts.

SALARIES AND BENEFITS:
* $43,200 Academy salary/$46,700
