|The Town of Laurel is hosting a Downtown Development District workshop from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 26 at the Laurel Public Library. Small businesses and homeowners will learn about the many grants and incentives available to rehabilitate or rebuild on their properties.
Learn about Delaware State Housing Authority DDD grants, the state historic tax credit, town incentives, energy rebates, USDA loans and grants, financing, and more. Participants will have the opportunity to ask specific questions of experts about your property or project.
The Downtown Development District program is a state that creates incentives for the redevelopment of disadvantaged communities. Laurel has one of eight such districts in Delaware. The workshop will include success stories from other Delaware DDDs.
Laurel's district includes the Broad Creek waterfront south to East Sixth Street, east to Pine Street and west to the railroad tracks. To determine if your property is within Laurel's DDD, type your address in this map.
